Dear Parents and Students:

With much anticipation and preparation, the start of the 2022-23 school year is now upon us. I hope all Nighthawk families have had a fun and restful summer.

Each year I look forward to working with the dedicated, hard-working, professional staff, the Osoyoos children and families and the many educational partners that support our learning community. As well, I look forward to building positive relationships with parents and community members.

In the 2022-23 school year, we will provide a strong educational program paying specific attention to the social-emotional well-being of our students, building strong connections and a sense of belonging, promoting Indigenous ways of knowing, and increasing the outdoor learning opportunities for our children. The students’ literacy and numeracy skills will remain a key focus as we nurture the development of resiliency, self-regulation, social skills and social responsibility.

We encourage all parents and guardians to take an active role in their child's education. Together, we can provide your child the support and direction he/she needs to lead a successful and rewarding life.

Warm regards,
David Foster
